Courtney Sherlock
YA Fiction
Courtney Sherlock writes YA fiction for emerging adults who are drawn to imaginary worlds, but also crave the authenticity of eternal Truth.
Courtney is a pastor and has been co-director of a college ministry in the Midwest for over a decade, where she has spoken most frequently on the topics of mental health and relationships. Her greatest joy in ministry is sitting down for one-on-one conversations with young women, getting to know their life stories, and engaging in discipleship.

More About Me:
When this Ravenclaw isn’t writing or ministering to young women, she’s finding any excuse to go questing in nature with her Viking husband and their pint-sized noble knight. She draws inspiration from hiking, nature photography, and returning to her hobbit hole to tackle a good book on her TBR list. Or, reading Pride and Prejudice for literally the 27th time.
Since middle school, Courtney has felt called to write fiction no matter the obstacles—including the fact that her family didn’t have a home computer and internet until her junior year of high school (yes, that was unusual, even back then). Her artifacts from those “old days” include a binder with over 100 handwritten pages of a fantasy novel, hand-drawn maps and characters, pages from the index of an ancient thesaurus, and a flash drive she carried everywhere like a talisman so she could write her book on school and library computers.
